(Video) PAL-V Flying Car Is Now Street-Legal In Europe

The Dutch-made PAL-V Liberty flying car is now recognized as a legal vehicle for road use in Europe. However, determining whether the vehicle will be registered as a car or as an aircraft is still a topic of discussion for future owners.

The PAL-V Liberty is a flying car with a 3-wheeled concept, as it is easier to get permission from Europe than a 4-wheeled flying car concept.

The concept of a 3-wheeled flying car was chosen as it is lighter when in the air compared to the concept of a 4-wheeled flying car.

Armed with an engine with 100 quad power, the PAL-V Liberty is reported to be able to accelerate on the road up to 160kmj with 0-100kmj can be reached in less than 9 seconds.

In-flight mode, the Pal-V Liberty can take off 300 meters and can accelerate in the air at a speed of 180kmj. It is also capable of flying up to an altitude of 3,500 meters.

With a 100-liter tank, the Pal-V Liberty can fly for 4 hours 30 minutes or a distance of 500km. However, on land, the distance that can be reached is 1,315km.

The change of road mode to flight mode is said to take only a few minutes.
