Drivers in an Indian area were frightened when a wild bear went berserk and started chasing their vehicle. Footage from a dashcam shows the driver of the car turning away from the aggressive animal as it chases them along a forest-penetrating road in India.
Their vehicle kept moving backward as the bear made several attempts to jump on it. Suddenly the animal gave up and turned its attention to an open-backed truck that overtook their car on the left.
The persistent bear tried to chase the truck along the road while trying to lift the truck.
The bear looked as if it might have managed to jump into the open truck through several attempts and reach the driver.
At one point, the bear stuck to the right tire for a few seconds and tried to lift it. But the bear then fell and returned to the runway before making some further attempts.
At the end of the recording, the truck stopped on the road and the bear appeared to have lost interest and walked away.
Although the incident was frightening, no one was harmed. The incident took place during the day in the Ambikapur division in east-central India on November, 1.
It is believed that the area is home to native sloth bears. According to the Daily Mail, experts say human and bear interactions are unintentional and unusual, but the frequency of encounters with such wild animals has recently increased due to human encroachment on forests.
