IPOH, March 12 — Perak coach Mehmed Durakovic praised his players following the team 2-0 victory against Petaling Jaya City FC in the Super League match at Perak Stadium here last night.
Mehmed said players such as Muhammad Firdaus Saiyadi and Kenny Palraj played important roles which enabled Perak to earn three full points in the match.
“For me, it was a great victory for us as we were playing without key players Leandro Dos Santos and J. Parthiban.
“Kenny (Palraj), for example, is very talented, experienced and I am confident that by having him on the field we can achieve a positive result,” he told a press conference after the match here, last night.
Two goals for the Bos Taurus team were scored by Shahrul Saad in the 24th minute and Cambodian national Chanthacheary Bin in the 63rd minute.

Despite the victory, Mehmed said the team still has a long way to go.
“There are other good teams such as the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), Kedah, Selangor, Terengganu, and Pahang. Our focus is on every match that we will be playing,” he said.
Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya City FC’s K.Devan said the tactical problems and poor defense contributed to his team’s defeat to Perak.
“The two goals they scored were due to our poor defense,” he said.
