It was founded that more than 2 million people had booked their plane tickets to travel for Thanksgiving, despite the pandemic warnings.
According to CNN, around one million people had been screened at U.S. airports on Friday. Saturday, they hit a whopping two million mark, deemed as one of the busiest periods since the COVID-19 outbreak.
Despite the Centres for Disease Control issued warnings against traveling for Thanksgiving, the people traveled nonetheless.
With 12 million coronavirus cases and more than 255,000 people dead, the United States still have a lot coming for them.
United Airlines has announced an increased amount of flight cancellations and drop-off bookings since the COVID-19 surged, said CNN.
Even so, the company says they would have to increase their schedule by as much as 15%, with a daily average of more than 4,000.
Health officials will issue quarantine order to those that have traveled.
