On last Friday, authorities in Kuwait have canceled communal prayers, with mosques across the country broadcasting an altered call to prayer telling believers to “pray in your homes” amid fears such large gatherings could aid the spread of Covid-19.
This matter has been questioned and asked to Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad. According to him, azan that has been viral through social media and changed from” hayya ala-solah” (let’s pray) to “al-salatu fi buyutikum” (pray at home) is not wrong.
The outbreak of the disease officially known as Covid-19 was labeled a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on Wednesday, as the worldwide death toll from the virus continues to grow.
