Beware of Gout, Practice These 6 Types of Nutrition Recommended By MOH

According to the Ministry Of Health Malaysia, gout is caused by excess uric acid in the body which causes inflammation or pain in the joints, especially towards the toe. Fortunately, gout attacks can be prevented naturally through a healthy and balanced diet.

These are the 6 types of nutrition that the MOH has recommended through a tweet on its Twitter page that could help with gout attack:

1) Pineapple

According to research, pineapple is high in fiber which may reduce inflammation caused by gout. Other than that, it also contains bromelain and vitamin c that could reduce inflammation in the joints.

2) Turmeric

Try turmeric as a home remedy if you have gout. The most active chemical which is known as curcumin has great potent anti-inflammatory and also antioxidant properties. This may help ease gout-related inflammation and pain.
3) Pegaga

Pegaga is rich in amino and fatty acids, beta carotene, and phytonutrients, all things great at calming inflammation. It also contains phytochemicals that help the detoxification process.

4) Chili

Capsaicin from chili peppers reduces pain and inflammation and also aids in the repair of damage in joints. Vitamin A and Vitamin C that contains in chili help to reduce joint stiffness.

5) Lemon

Lemon juice and lemon extract help to lower uric acid levels in the blood. It also contains a high level of Vitamin C to help in the detoxification process of a gout patient.

6) Ginger

Ginger is a great medication for inflammatory conditions. Ginger could reduce pain related to uric acid in gout. Its component of gingerol and zingiberene could reduce the inflammation of joints.
