North Korean Media Made A Shocking Claim, Idols Like BTS And BLACKPINK Being Treated Like Slaves?

North Korean media claimed idols such as BLACKPINK and BTS are getting slavery treatments. Arirang Meari accusing agencies of unfair treatment of their idols.

Further claims include the idols get no excursions, lack of sleep while receiving strict training. The profits of their work allegedly go to the companies under the guise of educational fees.

Singers such as BTS and BLACKPINK sign exclusive contracts with large entertainment companies such as SM Entertainment at a young age such as in elementary or middle school, and receive training on becoming a singer.

Other accusations include forcing many female singers to cater sexually to politicians and businessmen,  huge mental duress, and to the point of a life like being in a prison without bars. They even point to the recent spike in suicides among the stars as a testament to their claims.

However, the North Korean media outlet who claimed this is currently under critic by South Korean netizens, given the block North Korea has placed on the burgeoning popularity of South Korean idols amongst North Korean youths.

The claims might be highly hyperbolic, but long-term Kpop fans are aware of the high-demand and stress of their job. The agencies might not have the full blame but the idols stress dealing with grueling training and lack of privacy.
