Recently, AEON Malaysia announced that they are currently recalling all the batches of eggs that got stamped with the ‘CEM014’ stamp from the shelves in all of their branches across the country. This is done because the eggs are might be categorized as possible to have salmonella contamination. It is the perfect activity to be taken so that there would be no worse thing that could happen.
According to a statement that got issued, the particular company is said to be taken the step right after the news reports stating that the Singapore government has currently recalled the eggs imported specifically from farms that are in Malaysia. The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has stamped the eggs by using the ‘CEM014’ stamp due to the presence of Salmonella Enteritidis (SE).
According to the Facebook posting by AEON, they have asked all the involved customers who have recently purchased the particularly mentioned eggs to immediately return all of them to the place of their purchase at the customer service counter. This is a very important action to be done by the customers because studies have shown that Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) leads to foodborne illness if the food is undercooked or worst, to be consumed raw.
Worry not because AEON has stated that, “Full refund as per the receipt” for all the customers involved. They also added, “Rest assured that the safety and wellbeing of our customers are our utmost priority”.
