COVID-19: Malaysia’s Death Toll Rises To 17

Unfortunately, to date, one additional case of COVID-19 related has been reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC). This latest report brings the cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia to 17 so far.

17th death (1251 cases) was a 66-year-old Malaysian citizen with a background in several chronic diseases.

Based on the statement, he started showing symptoms a week before being admitted to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital, Muar on March 20, 2020. His condition was critical when he arrived at the Emergency Department and needed emergency breathing on the same day.

He was positively diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 21, 2020. His health becomes worst day by day and was passed away on March 25, 2020, at 4.10 am. The cause of his COVID-19 infection is still under investigation.
