Here are some of the best ayurvedic face packs for glowing skin:
1. Turmeric and Besan
Turmeric is an antiseptic that is also anti-inflammatory and antibacterial (1). Its skin-brightening properties are also well-known. Besan is an excellent exfoliator that helps to keep your skin’s pH balanced.
You’ll need:
- 1 tbsp Besan (gram flour)
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp rose water
Mix these ingredients into a thick paste and apply it to your face and neck. Leave it for 15 minutes and then wash it off. You can do this face pack 2x a week.
2. Rice flour and Sandalwood
Sandalwood has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial qualities, which may help prevent pigmentation caused by age and UV exposure, as well as the growth of S.aureus, the bacteria that causes acne and pimples. Coarse rice flour can be a great substitute for store-bought scrubs. This face pack will help remove dead skin cells from your skin and brighten it.
You’ll need:
- 1 tbsp rice flour
- 1/2 tsp sandalwood powder or 2-3 drops of sandalwood oil
- 1 tbsp rose water

3. Oatmeal, turmeric, and sandalwood

- 2 tbsp of plain yogurt or curd

Also, after using a face pack with lemon juice, be sure to wear sunscreen if you’re going out as lemon juice makes your skin photosensitive.
