(Video) ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ Prologue Gets Fans Approval For Its Detail

The Jurassic Park series has held the audience’s attention for a long time. Jurassic Park, the first installment of the series, was released in 1993 by Steven Spielberg. With the extinct species featured on the big screen, it was a fascinating film. The film was well-received by critics and went on to win multiple accolades.

And it is with no doubt that this spine-chilling movie gives us a realistic view of what it would have been if these magnificent beasts were still roaming the earth. This age of Jurassic Park sequels is coming to a close.

Following Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, director Colin Trevorrow returns for Jurassic World: Dominion, the third installment in the Jurassic World franchise. The film picks up after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), which saw the dinosaurs’ home, Isla Nublar, destroyed and a few of the animals escape into the world at the conclusion of the film.

A five-minute preview of Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World Dominion was apparently shown to audience members who saw F9 in IMAX. This sneak glimpse, dubbed The Prologue, is now available online. This brief teaser is not a part of the film, but rather a standalone piece that sets the tone for the story to come in Jurassic World Dominion.

For these dinosaurs, everything is going swimmingly. Until a pesky insect appears, at which point the clip fades to “65 million years later.” The earlier footage of dinosaurs having fun on Earth will not be included in the theatrical edit. This trailer spans 65 million years and introduces seven new dinosaur species never before seen in the franchise.

The animation depicts combat between a T-Rex and a Giganotosaurus, with a mosquito drinking blood nearby after the T-Rex is killed. While it’s unclear if this is the same mosquito that helped bring the dinosaurs back to life in the first Jurassic Park, it does appear to be a type of origin story for the T-Rex that horrified audiences in 1993.

The action then shifts to the present, where a T-Rex is roaming about in the modern-day, terrorizing a drive-in movie theater while it is being pursued by a helicopter. Definitely, a lot of chaos as you could hear screams!

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong, Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, and DeWanda Wise will feature in Jurassic World Dominion. Trevorrow and Emily Carmichael co-wrote the film’s script, which was based on a story by Derek Connolly and Trevorrow, who also co-wrote Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

On June 10, 2022, Jurassic World Dominion will be released in theatres.
