ATLAS Vending, a leading vending solutions provider, has been awarded the First NFT Vending Machine in Malaysia title by The Malaysia Book Of Records (MBOR) today at REXKL. Known for its cutting-edge innovations from its Braille-assisted machines, wheelchair-friendly machines, and automated sampling machines to newspaper vending machines; ATLAS has fulfilled its commitment to go above and beyond the ordinary with its latest edition of NFT vending machines which was received with open arms by Malaysians since its launch on Malaysia Day.
Having this significant event taking place in REXKL where all 13 vending machines were placed, ATLAS engaged 13 local NFT artists to showcase their exceptional talent in conjunction with the 59th Malaysia Day – where each artist was tasked to create a unique artwork that best represents their home state, at the same time uplifting Malaysian artists to make their distinctive artwork more accessible and giving them the recognition they deserve.
Amy Gan, Vice President of Marketing of Etika Sdn Bhd mentioned that the launch of the NFT vending machines gathered an immense crowd during Malaysia Day. The overwhelming response did not just broaden the knowledge of the public on NFTs, but also stood as a platform to elevate the economy through arts and culture.
“Over the years we’ve received tremendous support from customers nationwide and with their encouragement and support, we’ve successfully propelled this far beyond expectations. This award and recognition by The Malaysia Book of Records mark a significant achievement for ATLAS, as we have once again proved our capabilities in delighting our customers with our diverse product offerings,” said Amy.
Riding on the success of its first-ever NFT vending machine, ATLAS is also introducing the 14th artwork designed by a prominent local artist, Nymea, who was also involved in the world’s first NFT vending machine in New York.
“I learned about this meaningful campaign from one of the NFT artists, RoachPunk, when I came across the hype on his social media. Not long after, I was approached by ATLAS for a collaboration and I was genuinely excited for the opportunity to be alongside my fellow Malaysian NFT artists in promoting the states of Malaysia through our artwork and to represent my hometown, the Federal Territory! It means a lot to us when artists are put in the spotlight for the work that we do. ATLAS and the artists did an amazing job in turning this into reality,” said Nymea.
Capped at 300 units, the first 300 purchasers to acquire five NFTs from ATLAS’s vending machines will receive the Nymea limited edition artwork that will be rewarded to them via the MetaMask application. These vending machines will be available from 16 September to 16 December 2022 and each NFT is available for RM59 only through cashless payments.
