Apple recently unveiled its latest generation of iPad. The 10th-generation iPad comes with an A14 Bionic chip, a design overhaul, and USB-C charging.
The new iPad has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display. The edges of the iPad are more flatter which resembles previous generations of the iPad Air.
The 12MP front camera of the iPad is no longer on top of the display. Instead, you can find the camera on the longer side of the iPad.
the 10th-generation iPad now has a Touch ID, which replaces the home button. Not only that, the headphone jack is also not present. You can use the Touch ID by pressing the power button on the top-right corner of the device.
The iPad also comes with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and 5G support for the cellular model. Moreover, the iPad comes in 4 colors: Blue, Pink, Silver, and Yellow.
In addition, the 10th-generation iPad can be charged via a USB-C connector. This new tablet is compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil and the Magic Keyboard Folio.
The iPad is expected to cost around RM2,099 when it comes to Malaysia.
Updated iPad Pro
Apple also unveils an updated iPad Pro model that comes with the new M2 chip. The M2 chip debuts earlier this year in the Macbook Air and 13-inch Macbook Pro 2022.
Apple says its new 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPad Pro models include a “hover” capability that can detect an Apple Pencil up to 12mm above the display, letting “users see a preview of their mark before they make it.”
Not only that, this iPad also has USC-C charging and supports the Thunderbolt/USB 4 with Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
iPadOS 16, the next significant software upgrade for Apple’s tablets, will be released on October 24 alongside the sixth-generation iPad Pro.
iPadOS 16 will add a dedicated weather app, focus on multitasking and collaboration, and incorporate new capabilities into its office apps.
