An Australian rugby league player was found dead at Barcelona’s Apolo Concert hall and nightclub on Wednesday at 3 pm.
The Australian rugby league player was on a trip across Europe with his rugby teammates, as seen in the photos posted on their Instagram accounts.
The local police and the rugby league said on Thursday, he was reported missing by friends while on holiday in Spain. Unexpectedly, the player went missing for 39 hours after the last concert at the Sala Apolo.
Some reports said that the rugby player left the nightclub at 4.30 am and was nowhere to be found afterwards.
Hypotheses were made that the player accidentally fell from a height of 10 metres.
Some of his teammates voiced that the player’s death was strange as they were in groups while on holiday together.
Heartbreakingly, one of the player’s friends couldn’t even express their grief as it was shocking news to all of them.
The rugby player has played four years in the Queensland Cup. He moved from Tweed Head Seagulls to Redcliffe at the end of 2021.
He came off the bench in last month’s Queensland Cup grand final loss to the Norths Devils, and is in a position to impress Wayne Bennett and the NRL’s 17th franchise at the Dolphins.
