The Walt Disney Company has been keen to make Night in the Museum their own since they acquired 20th Century Fox.
Disney’s first move in the franchise, will be an animated sequel titled “Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again”.
In anticipation of the premiere of the new film, Disney+ released a first peek at the film. The picture provides a glimpse at the film’s animation style. Check it out below!

Furthermore, the animated film will focus on Nick Daley, who is the son of Larry Daley, the trilogy’s original protagonist. His son follows in his father’s footsteps and becomes a security guard working at the Museum of Natural History.
However, the return of Kahmunrah disrupts his shift. Kahmunrah is the antagonist in the franchise’s second installment.
Kahmunrah escapes and Nick will need to recapture him to save the museum once and for all. The film will premiere on Disney+ this December 9.
The cast of the film includes Joshua Bassett as Nick Daley, Thomas Lennon as Teddy, Joseph Kamal as Kahmunrah, Steve Zahn as Jedediah and many more.
The film franchise began in 2006, where Ben Stiller stars as Larry Daley. He takes a job as a night watchman at a museum where he finds the relics comes to life when the sun goes down.
The original films star famous cast such as the late Robin Williams as Theodore Roosevelt and Owen Wilson as a tiny cowboy.
The success of the first film spawns 2 sequels: Night at The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and Night at The Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
