The history of Mamee Monster
The history of Mamee may be traced back to 1971. It was when its creator, Datuk Pang Chin Hin, and a business partner established a modest factory in Melaka. It’s for the production of instant noodles.
Mamee’s first-ever products, Lucky instant noodles, and vermicelli were brought to market in 1972. Hence, it marked the beginning of production for the company.
When Tan Sri Pang Tee Chew and his son saw rubber tappers eating uncooked instant noodles out of the package, they decided to change the company’s focus. As a result, they launched Mamee, a popular crunchy noodle snack.
