The City Council Of Muar now forbids selling vape or e-cigarettes in Muar. Smoking brings more harm than good to our health. It has been proven through many kinds of research that the chemicals in a cigarette are poisonous, especially to the lungs. This unhealthy habit leads to an array of health conditions. For example cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung disease, diabetes and other severe sicknesses.
Even though many authorities have actively spread awareness of this deathly habit, smokers are still reluctant to stop. Although they know the consequences they have to take, it isn’t enough to make them realise they’ll lose not only their health but also respect from family members and society.
Furthermore, the government has been trying to implant an understanding of the effects of smoking among children, students and the public.
The City Council of Muar forbids selling vape or electronic cigarettes
The Ministry of Health is keen to navigate the current generation to stop smoking. Public Health Malaysia shared a post about this issue.
The City Council of Muar took a step forward to forbid the selling of vapes or e-cigarettes. This parallels their initiative, ‘Generasi Malaysia Bebas Dari Sebarang Amalan Merokok’ (The Generation of Malaysia Is Free From Any Smoking Activities) by 2045.
Not only that, but they also prohibit any form of reselling or distribution of said products. MPM will continue to supervise in order to ensure no parties will sell vapes or e-cigarettes in any districts in Muar.
Surveilling will be implemented on all premises that continue to sell and distribute these products in Muar. Everyone must take note of this.
We hope other states in Malaysia will do the same thing. One draw of smoke can cost a fragment of your life.
