Previously, Minister of Transport, Anthony Loke also blended into the sea of LRT Kelana Jaya line users during the peak hours to witness the hecticness of the situation himself. He also observed the facilities that needed to be maintained while he was visiting the place.
However, this time, the minister not only looked at the public transport services offered in the bus terminal, but he also surveilled the operational fluidity of the passengers that want to travel to desired places.
He commuted to TBS by KTM train
In his Facebook post, he shared that he took the Komuter train from KL Sentral to Bandar Tasik Selatan with his two PAs.
The minister said he received a lot of feedback that addressed the issues relating to the Komuter services and the boarding pass inspection in the bus terminal.
Anthony Loke scheduled a meeting with the KTMB team soon
Additionally, the minister said he would meet the KTMB management soon. It’s to discuss the steps needed to improve and enhance the services and facilities in the terminal. Also, the minister said he would bring out the issue of KTMB’s frequency. It has been one of the biggest concerns many KTM komuter users agreed upon.
He also understood the inconsistency of KTMB’s services due to the maintenance work being down at the moment. They are currently improving the KVDT1 line. This setback of long intervals between one trip to the other is also due to the interrupted project of KVDT2.
Lastly, he would also meet the TBS management. It’s to discuss how they’ll manage a large number of passengers during weekends and holiday seasons.
