An ambulance that carried a pregnant woman and nurse was involved in an accident yesterday. As humans, we can’t predict what will happen. It’s all in the hands of God, who will decide the course of our lives, whether it is good or bad. And everything happens for a reason. There’s always a silver lining to every cloud.
But still, who would have thought a brave nurse would still diligently perform their duty to help the ones in need, even when they are involved in an accident?
A nurse helped a woman to deliver her baby
The director of Semporna Hospital, Mohd Syahfadzreen Yunus, shared a post on his Facebook yesterday.
An ambulance that carried a pregnant woman was involved in an unwanted accident. Can you imagine how terrifying that would be? You are minutes to giving birth, but the ambulance that should be bringing you to the hospital crashed in a blink. It must have been a traumatic accident for the soon-to-be-mother.
Not only that, but the nurse and staff in the ambulance also faced the same fate. However, the heartwarming thing about it was the nurse still insisted on helping the woman instead of themselves.
The nurse prayed they’ll be okay despite the accident
Once the staff arrived at the hospital, they said, “I hope I will be okay. I don’t want my friends to cover for me. Pity them.”
Honestly, the nurse could have been a bit selfish and let themselves rest. Yet, due to their deep integrity and responsibility, they could only think about their patient’s safety.
Everyone in the ambulance is safe
Thankfully, no victims were sacrificed in this accident. The mother and baby are also safe.
Many are also wishing for the ones involved to be safe.
It’s a sacrifice not many can do. Our respect for nurses in Malaysia is increasing. Without their precise aid, many wouldn’t survive before the doctors come to check in on the sick.
Let’s pray for everyone to recover well. We hope all of them will get better very soon.
