Car fans are willing to bid £12,000 (RM68,500) for this rare Porsche 911 Carrera Junior toy car produced in the 1980s. Do you know? Only 224 units were made, and whoever got their hands on this limited-edition toy car was so lucky!
Interestingly, this beautiful and sleek toy car pays tribute to the iconic Porsche 911 Carerra. You might wonder, it’s just a toy car, so what makes it so special that people bid for a huge amount of money for it?
The Porsche 911 Carrera is not only a ‘toy car’
Some of the car’s features might shock you. Do you know? This children’s car is powered by a pull-start 2.2hp four-stroke Honda G100 engine. Additionally, there’s also a manual gearbox with two forward speeds and three pedals, along with chain drive to the rear axle.
The design is a replica of the car’s real physique. The tyres are completed with Fuchs-style wheel caps, a ‘whale tale’ rear spoiler, and a mock tonneau cover.
Next, the cabin included a hard-wearing plastic seat with rubber matting.
The stylish toy car is only 190cm in length and can speed up to 30 km/h as it rides on coil spring suspension.
Fibreglass is the base of the car’s body, and the colour is Guards red. Furthermore, the wheels are pneumatic tyres that function like a real deal.
Also, the steering wheel, gear shifter and other controls work fine.
No wonder many fans bid this car up to a high price. The specs are almost similar to the real model!
Any kid with this toy car as a present would be the most stylish child ever! It seems like they could ‘flex’ of owning a Porsche 911 Carrera from a young age!
