New information came out recently about the American remake of the K-drama. According to Bela Bajaria, Netflix‘s global head of television in an interview with Jinny Howe, the vice president of drama series, the remake will be a little different from the original.
The original version ofCrash Landing On Youtouches on people from two different countries — South Korea and North Korea. Talking about the American remake, Howe is thinking of a sci-fi genre.
“So, I think we’re gonna see if maybe we can make that divide a little bit more symbolic.” We’re looking intosci-fi,” said the vice president of drama series for US and Canada’s Netflix.
The KoreanCrash Landing On Youstars real-life married couple Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin. Ye-Jin acts as an heiress who accidentally finds herself in North Korea after a paragliding accident. Meanwhile, Hyun Bin is a North Korean soldier who finds Ye-Jin and helps her return back home.
