Eco-shop, Malaysia’s leading affordable household retailer, is extending vital support to families affected by the recent floods in Kelantan and other regions nationwide. Through the Eco Care #SAMAHATISAMABANTU initiative, Eco-shop will provide RM2 million worth of e-vouchers to 20,000 families to deliver timely aid to those in need. Additionally, in collaboration with the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS), Eco-shop has distributed 200 Eco-shop Care Packages valued at over RM10,000 to support flood-affected communities in Kelantan.
From 13 to 26 December 2024, each eligible family will receive RM100 in e-vouchers. These vouchers can be used to purchase essential supplies, including food, household necessities, and personal care items, easing the burden of recovery and helping families get back on their feet. This initiative highlights Eco-shop’s commitment to resilience, unity, and supporting Malaysians in times of hardship.
“The devastation caused by these floods is a stark reminder of the immense challenges faced by vulnerable communities in the affected areas. Many families have lost not only their homes but also access to basic necessities, leaving them in urgent need of immediate assistance,” said Jessica Ng, CEO of Eco-shop Malaysia.
“At Eco-shop, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing meaningful support to the communities we serve. Through the Eco Care initiative and our partnership with MRCS, we aim to bring some relief to those affected while standing with our fellow Malaysians during their most difficult times.”
