Samsung Wants Gen Z to ‘Start with Can’ in Solve for Tomorrow 2025

Samsung Malaysia just launched the 7th edition of Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) 2025, a nationwide challenge calling on Malaysian teens (13–15 years old) to flip their boldest ideas into STEM-powered solutions.

The theme this year? ‘Start with Can’ because why not dream big and build it?

From sustainability hacks to mental health tech, this competition is where students get to merge science, creativity, and even a bit of pop culture energy into real-world impact.

Winners walk away with Samsung products worth up to RM117,000 and bragging rights as the next wave of changemakers.

In collab with Universiti Malaya, the initiative isn’t just about cool gadgets. It’s about fighting brain drain (yep, over 1.8 million Malaysians are working abroad) by proving that innovation can thrive right here.

Think of it as Malaysia’s own version of Shark Tank meets Black Mirror (but in a good way).

4 Big Themes to Play With:

  • Sustainability through tech
  • Social change via sport + tech
  • Health & wellbeing
  • Education & learning

The top 10 teams will move on to workshops, mentorship sessions, and prototype building, leading up to a high-stakes pitch in December 2025.

Prizes:

  • RM44,000 worth of Samsung products
  • RM30,000
  • RM23,000
  • 4th & 5th place: RM12,000 & RM8,000

Submissions close 15 September 2025 so if you’re a student with a big idea (or know one), this is the stage.
