Satay Putera Kajang Celebrates Merdeka with Jalur Gemilang Satay, Wagyu Innovation, and Borneo Flavours

The spirit of unity and national pride was alive in Kajang as Satay Putera Kajang hosted its “Satay Ku, Malaysia KU – My Satay, My Malaysia” event, blending Malaysia’s beloved satay heritage with Merdeka festivities.

The community gathering, graced by distinguished guests including YBhg. Dato’ Seri Mohd Syafiq B Abdullah, YBhg. Dato’ Liew Bin, Senator Datuk Wira Koh Nai Kwang, and Prof. Dr. Abd. Malik Musharat, highlighted food’s powerful role in bringing Malaysians together.

A key highlight was the unveiling of three innovative menu items:

  • Wagyu Beef Satay:Premium, halal-certified wagyu imported from Japan, delivering melt-in-the-mouth indulgence with a smoky satay twist.

  • Satay Jalur Gemilang:A patriotic creation featuring three satay sticks plated with red cherry tomato, yellow cherry tomato, and a blueberry, symbolising Malaysia’s national flag in a fresh, flavourful way.

  • Borneo Nasi Goreng:A wok-fried signature dish infused with Sarawak peppercorns and Sabah anchovies, offering a bold, aromatic taste of East Malaysia.

In a touching gesture of appreciation, Persatuan Kebajikan Polis (PERKEP) from Kajang Police Station were among the first to savour the new patriotic satay creations.

The event not only celebrated Malaysia’s culinary diversity but also strengthened community bonds. The aroma of satay smoke mingled with Merdeka pride, turning the evening into a meaningful tribute to Malaysia’s unity.
