Runners Break Records and Limits at ASICS META : Time : Trials Thailand 2025

Bangkok just turned into the ultimate runner’s stage as the ASICS META : Time : Trials Thailand 2025 wrapped up its 4th anniversary on a high. Thousands showed up at the iconic Rama VIII Bridge & Park, from pro athletes to everyday joggers, proving that running isn’t just a sport, it’s a lifestyle.

The spotlight? 45 ASICS athletes across Asia rocking the new METASPEED™ TOKYO series. Out of them, 12 smashed their personal bests. Add in 4,000 participants and the energy was insane.

And Malaysia? We showed up strong. Daren James Nair set a blazing new PB of 32:32 on his birthday (talk about a gift), while teammates like Syakir Alwi (33:13), Hazman Akmal (33:26), and Michelle Chua (38:44) all clocked personal bests.

The event also spotlighted young talent, Thai teens Archawin Dokdoung (16) and Thanakrit Raksaphon (14), who both crushed their runs with PBs, reminding everyone that the future of running is already here.

ASICS also unveiled its TOKYO Collection, featuring fresh colorways and next-gen cushioning tech in models like MEGABLAST™, SONICBLAST™, NOVABLAST™ 5, GEL-KAYANO™ 32, and GEL-NIMBUS™ 27. Basically: fashion + function = runner’s dream.

What makes this event pop isn’t just the medals. It’s the vibe, thousands pushing limits, chasing PBs, and proving that running is about community as much as it is about speed.
