More than 1,000 people came together across the KLCC Precinct for this year’s Sustainable September, themed “Liveable and Lovable Precinct”, raising RM41,000 and proving that small actions can create a huge impact.
From tree planting at KLCC Park to coastal clean-ups, blood donations, and even a Zumba in the Park, the campaign turned sustainability into a celebration of community and wellbeing.
Key highlights:
- RM41,000 raised for social and environmental causes
- 134 blood bags donated
- Over 1 million steps recorded through campaign activities
- 317 kg of waste collected
- 50 new trees planted
- 200 litres of cooking oil recycled
Officiated by Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Dato’ Seri TPr. (Dr.) Maimunah Mohd Sharif, together with KLCC Holdings Group CEO Datuk Sr. Mohd. Salem Kailany, the event marked the most successful Sustainable September since it began in 2022.
KLCCBEA Chairman John Burke said it best, “Sustainable September has grown beyond a campaign. It’s now a movement that reflects who we are as a city.”
Looks like the KLCC Precinct isn’t just beautiful, it’s also becoming one of Malaysia’s most sustainable spots.
