CHAGEE Reimagines Tea with a Multi-Sensory Showcase at Singapore’s Asian Civilisations Museum

The Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), together with international tea brand CHAGEE and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), has unveiled Garden of Senses / 茶苑梦: A Tea Reverie — a first-of-its-kind, multi-sensory tea showcase that invites visitors to experience tea through sight, sound, touch, scent, and reflection.

Running from 28 January to 7 June 2026 at ACM, the immersive showcase explores tea as a deeply human ritual, shaped by centuries of tradition while continuing to evolve through modern creativity.

Rather than focusing only on taste or aroma, Garden of Senses takes visitors on a journey that mirrors life itself, moments of stillness, connection, and mindfulness, all centred around a simple cup of tea.

This marks ACM’s first-ever collaboration with a global lifestyle brand, blending museum artefacts with contemporary artistic expressions. According to ACM Director Clement Onn, the partnership allows tea heritage to be reinterpreted in fresh, meaningful ways, showing how tea has influenced cultures across Asia and continues to shape everyday life today.

For CHAGEE, the collaboration goes beyond beverages. “Tea has always been a cultural connector,” said Lawrence Wen, CEO of CHAGEE Singapore. “It lives in conversations, shared moments, and daily rituals. This exhibition presents tea not just as heritage, but as a living practice.”

STB sees the showcase as part of Singapore’s evolving cultural landscape. By bringing together global brands and local institutions, the initiative reflects the city’s vibrant, forward-thinking creative scene while offering visitors new ways to experience culture.

Inside the exhibition, visitors will encounter historic tea wares, sculptural installations, immersive soundscapes, fragrance-led spaces, and tactile tea-making tools. Contemporary artists Ashley Yeo and Alecia Neo also bring fresh perspectives, from quiet, contemplative installations to sound-driven works inspired by ASMR and human connection.

The experience extends beyond the museum walls with an exclusive CHAGEE pop-up along the Singapore River, offering a full beverage menu and merchandise previously available only in China. Highlights include limited-edition plush charms inspired by ancient tea routes and Singapore’s iconic Merlion.

Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie is part of ACM’s All Access ticket, priced at S$25 for tourists and S$12 for Singaporeans and PRs, granting entry to all exhibitions on the day of visit.
