This Chinese New Year, IOI Malls invites everyone to experience prosperity in all its forms.
From now until 22 February 2026, IOI City Mall, IOI Mall Puchong, IOI Mall Damansara, and IOI Mall Kulai come together to celebrate prosperity. Each mall tells its own unique story, offering a distinct festive experience for the season.
Together, they create an immersive festive experience that isn’t just seen, but felt, shared, and truly lived.
“We’re excited to welcome the Year of the Horse with a celebration that brings people together across all four of our malls,” says Chris Chong, IOI Properties Chief Operating Officer of Property Investment (Malaysia).
“Each mall offers its own unique interpretation of prosperity, encouraging shoppers to explore its many meanings. This goes beyond shopping. It’s a celebration of the rich, diverse spirit that makes Chinese New Year so special.”
Across all locations, visitors can expect a festive calendar packed with cultural performances, hands-on workshops, eye-catching décor and lively markets. From beautifully curated hampers and festive treats to traditional attire for the season, every visit promises something worth celebrating.
IOI City Mall: Journey to Prosperity
IOI City Mall takes shoppers on a bold “Journey to Prosperity.” The experience is anchored by Trojan, a larger-than-life horse sculpture by local artist, designer and architect Kaiyi Wong (@unrealitykai).
Building on his acclaimed Christmas centrepiece, the installation fills the mall with the strength of the Year of the Horse. It channels a sense of vitality that energises the space and sets the tone for the festive season. It blends contemporary art with festive tradition, capturing an energy that feels bold, dynamic and unstoppable.
The experience goes deeper with a Hanfu Experience exclusively for Club IOI app users, in collaboration with Instax Fujifilm.
From 31 January to 19 February, on weekends and public holidays, families can dress in elegant traditional Hanfu and enjoy a complimentary photo session that turns memories into keepsakes.
Performances keep the momentum going with powerful Wushu demonstrations and thunderous 24 Majestic Drums. Acrobatic Lion and Dragon Dances by Khuan Loke Lion & Dragon Dance Association take centre stage. The performances feature their viral 32-foot pole jump, delivering a thrilling highlight of the celebration.
The high-energy showcases keep the festive atmosphere buzzing throughout the mall. Visitors can also roll up their sleeves at the Wantan Bento Making Workshop, adding flavour to the celebrations in more ways than one.
IOI Mall Puchong: 8 Virtues of Prosperity
At IOI Mall Puchong, prosperity starts from within.
The mall centres its celebration around Kaiyi Wong’s installation, The 8 Virtues. Through art, it brings loyalty, filial piety, benevolence, love, trust, righteousness, harmony and peace to life.
The installation serves as a gentle reminder of the values that hold communities together.
The programme shines just as brightly, with multi-award-winning Kwong Ngai Lion Dance delivering high-energy Acrobatic and Northern Lion Dance performances.
Children can dive into creative arts and crafts workshops, while adult slow things down at the Tea Appreciation Workshop by Legend of Tea.
Community takes centre stage on 25 January 2026 with a Calligraphy Competition co-organised with Persatuan Guru Besar SJKC Selangor.
Around 300 students aged 7 to 12 will showcase their skills, celebrating tradition, discipline and the next generation of cultural storytellers.
IOI Mall Damansara: Prosperity Under One Sky
IOI Mall Damansara celebrates unity with the theme “Prosperity Under One Sky,” a reminder that while we come from different roots, we celebrate together.
This idea comes to life through The People’s Lantern; Hundred Family Surnames, a contemporary installation by Kaiyi Wong that symbolises heritage, identity and community.
Festivities unfold with traditional Lion and Dragon Dances, Chinese oriental music and classical dance performances that captivate all ages.
Visitors can also take part in interactive cultural workshops, including Chinese calligraphy, DIY hanging décor, wool sticking, fan marbling, shaking pendants and stamping art, turning tradition into something hands-on and personal.
IOI Mall Kulai: Thriving Prosperity
At IOI Mall Kulai, “Thriving Prosperity” celebrates the ongoing journey towards success, happiness and togetherness.
The mall transforms into a cultural sanctuary filled with artistic heritage, dynamic performances and engaging workshops that complement every shopping trip.
For something a little different, visitors can explore Fortune Tarot Reading sessions, blending tradition with modern curiosity.
Those who prefer to watch the magic unfold can enjoy Acrobatic Lion Dances, dramatic Face Changing performances and powerful 24 Drums shows that keep the festive energy pulsing throughout the mall.
Golden Rewards Await
The celebration doesn’t stop at performances and décor. Across IOI Malls, shoppers can redeem festive rewards at every spending tier, from a trendy Prosperity Coin Pouch Blind Box to a luxurious Ruyi Cushion.
AEON Credit Cardholders enjoy exclusive lowered spending thresholds across all redemption tiers.
Adding extra sparkle, IOI City Mall and IOI Mall Puchong will reward their top three spenders with exclusive prizes from Poh Kong, including selected jewellery and cash vouchers worth up to RM15,000.
Shoppers at IOI Mall Puchong can also enjoy complimentary train rides for two with every redemption. Terms and conditions apply.
