11 Malaysians Win Google Pixel Prizes After Seven Weeks of Spotting Hidden Plushies

What started as a simple challenge to spot a hidden plushie turned into seven weeks of friendly competition, with 11 Malaysians emerging as winners of the Pixel Spotter Challenge.

Part of the wider Google Pixel Football Campaign, the challenge ran from June 15 to July 31, 2026, putting participants’ speed and observation skills to the test across five increasingly difficult levels.

Players had to race against the clock to locate hidden Google Pixel Plushies, earning points based on their speed and accuracy while competing for positions on a live nationwide leaderboard.

Following the conclusion of the campaign, 11 winners were confirmed across the Game and Referral categories, walking away with prizes including the Google Pixel 10a, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a.

Sharing the Challenge Pays Off

However, being the fastest player was not the only way to win.

For Subas Segar, his winning moment came from encouraging his friends to join the challenge through his personalised referral link.

Subas was eventually selected as one of the Referral category winners, taking home a pair of Pixel Buds 2a.

“I started sharing the Pixel Spotter Challenge with my friends because I thought it would be fun for them to try it too,” he said.

As more of his friends joined, Subas said the challenge became even more exciting as they began comparing their progress with one another.

He added that winning a prize came as an unexpected surprise, as he initially shared the game simply for his friends to join in the fun.

More Than Just an Online Game

The Pixel Spotter Challenge formed part of the broader Google Pixel Football Campaign, which combined football-inspired experiences, interactive challenges and exclusive collectibles for Malaysians.

Beyond hunting for hidden plushies online, customers who purchased eligible Google Pixel devices from participating retail and telco partners could also redeem exclusive football-themed merchandise while stocks lasted.

One of the campaign’s most distinctive items was the Football Edition Google Pixel Plushie, which was limited to just 200 successful redemptions nationwide.

The collectible featured the familiar Google Pixel companion dressed in a football jersey inspired by Google’s blue, red, yellow and green colour palette, marking the first time the character had been transformed into a football supporter for the Malaysian campaign.

From racing to spot hidden plushies to inviting friends into the challenge, the campaign combined the excitement of football with the playful side of Google Pixel.

While the Pixel Spotter Challenge has now officially ended, 11 Malaysians walked away with more than just bragging rights, they also brought home their own Google Pixel prizes.
