This October, M Social Resort Penang is turning its lobby pink for a meaningful cause, inviting guests and the local community to spread hope, honour breast cancer survivors and remember loved ones through its special “Ribbon of Hope” Pink October campaign.
Held throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the initiative combines an interactive pink ribbon installation with specially curated afternoon tea offerings, raising awareness while supporting cancer care in Penang.
More than just a colourful campaign, the initiative encourages visitors to share personal messages of strength, remembrance and solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.
A Pink Ribbon Filled With Messages of Hope
At the heart of the campaign is the “Ribbon of Hope”, an interactive installation located in the resort’s main lobby.
Visitors are invited to write the name of someone they wish to honour, celebrate or remember on a coloured ball before placing it inside a pink ribbon sculpture.
Each colour carries a special meaning:
- Pink: Supporting individuals currently battling breast cancer.
- Green: Celebrating breast cancer survivors and their journeys.
- White: Remembering loved ones who have passed away.
As more visitors participate, the installation gradually becomes a collective symbol of strength, hope and remembrance, reflecting the personal stories of individuals and families affected by the disease.
Jasmine Keh, General Manager of M Social Resort Penang, said the campaign aims to encourage greater community participation in a cause that continues to impact many lives.
“Pink October is a cause close to our hearts, and we wanted to create something that allows our guests and the community to participate in a more personal way,” she said.
“Through the Ribbon of Hope and our Pink October offerings, we hope to create a space for people to come together, show their support, and contribute towards a cause that continues to touch so many lives.”

Beyond the installation, the resort is also introducing its Pink Social Tea Box, a specially curated afternoon tea experience featuring a combination of sweet and savoury treats.
The Savoury Selection includes Smoked Salmon Croffle, Prawn Lychee Ball and Tuna & Avocado Tartare Crostini.

The Pink Social Tea Box is available daily at The Social Hub from 2pm to 6pm throughout October.
