KUALA LUMPUR, October 13, 2026 – Sanofi Malaysia has marked the 10th anniversary of its Kuala Lumpur Hub with the inauguration of its new Exchange 106 workplace. The milestone highlights Malaysia’s growing role in Sanofi’s regional operations, talent development and digital capabilities.
Originally established as a finance-focused shared services centre, the hub has evolved into a multifunctional regional operation. It now supports more than 20 markets across Asia Pacific and the Greater Gulf, spanning Finance, People, Medical, Procurement, and Manufacturing & Supply.

Expanding Malaysia’s Regional Capabilities
Malaysia’s Global Business Services (GBS) sector is increasingly shifting towards higher-value, technology-enabled work. In 2024, 749 GBS companies attracted RM9.87 billion in investments, while the sector created more than 36,000 jobs since 2021.
This development aligns with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030), which aims to advance technology-enabled activities and develop a skilled workforce.
For Sanofi, the hub’s evolution builds on more than 60 years of healthcare presence in Malaysia. Over the past decade, its operations have expanded in scope, complexity and regional reach.

Trudy Tan, Head of KL & Chengdu Hubs for Asia Pacific at Sanofi, said, “Malaysia is where local healthcare understanding meets the talent, expertise and innovation that support Sanofi across the region.
“Over the past 10 years, our Sanofi Kuala Lumpur Hub has evolved in the markets we serve, the capabilities we provide, and the complexity of work delivered from here.
“As we enter our next chapter, we will continue investing in our people, technology and expertise to contribute even greater value from Kuala Lumpur.”
New Workplace Prioritises Collaboration and Wellbeing
The new Exchange 106 workplace provides a flexible, connected environment designed to enhance collaboration, innovation and evolving ways of working.
It also reflects Sanofi’s commitment to employee health, comfort and wellbeing. Key features include low-VOC materials, circadian rhythm-supporting lighting, healthier food choices and spaces that promote mental wellbeing.

Agnès Perré, Head of Business Operations at Sanofi, said, “Great science needs a strong organisation behind it.
“Business Operations brings together expertise, technology and capabilities that help Sanofi operate with greater speed, consistency and impact.
“As the way we work evolves, our focus is on creating greater value through expertise, data, technology and insight.”
Across Sanofi’s India and Southeast Asia Multi-Country Organisation (MCO), the Kuala Lumpur Hub connects Malaysian talent and expertise with regional teams.
Its capabilities support Sanofi’s work in immunology and rare diseases, vaccine-preventable illnesses, and more equitable health outcomes across the region.
Developing Digital Talent and Healthcare Impact
As an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharmaceutical company, Sanofi continues investing in people and technology to strengthen its digital capabilities.

Eric Mansion, General Manager, Pharma and Southeast Asia & India MCO Lead at Sanofi, said, “For over 60 years, Sanofi has been part of Malaysia’s healthcare journey.
“The Kuala Lumpur Hub deepens that commitment, connecting Malaysian talent with teams across the region so we can expand our impact across immunology, rare diseases and vaccine-preventable illnesses throughout Southeast Asia.”
The company aims to support increasingly connected work while keeping human expertise, judgement and responsible technology use at the core.
Strengthening France–Malaysia Collaboration
The new workplace’s inauguration was officiated by Olivier Sigaud, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of France in Malaysia.

Olivier Sigaud, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of France in Malaysia, said, “Sanofi’s continued development in Malaysia reflects the strength of the relationship between France and Malaysia, as our two countries approach 70 years of diplomatic relations.
“Sanofi’s journey demonstrates the value of long-term investment, international expertise and Malaysian talent coming together to build capabilities for the future.”
The milestone comes as France and Malaysia approach 70 years of diplomatic relations in 2027. Malaysia is an important French partner in Southeast Asia and ASEAN, with approximately 300 French subsidiaries employing 30,000 people locally.
Bilateral trade between the two countries reached €4.2 billion in 2024.
Sanofi’s longstanding presence reflects this wider relationship, demonstrating how international expertise and Malaysian talent can create value across borders.
