Coronavirus: Spain’s Reports First Death In Valencia

The first death has been confirmed for Spain because of COVID-19. It was confirmed last Tuesday by local health officials that a man from Valencia was dead because of the infection.

Health officials in Valencia said after a ‘retrospective investigation’ has been done and the virus was to be accused of the death of that man on February 13 in a city hospital. That man was believed to have traveled to Nepal before his death.

According to Reuters, news of the man’s death came shortly after Spain’s Health Ministry announced that several sporting events would be held without people watching it live at the event.

Sports events such as the Europa League match between Getafe and Inter Milan and Champions League match between Valencia and Atalanta(Italy’s club) will be held behind close doors.

It was reported by Daily Mail that Spain now has 165 cases of coronavirus, with 46 of them in Madrid. It is also believed that seven of the patients are in intensive care.
