Malaysia Parliament Session Postponed From March 9 To May 18

The scheduled Dewan Rakyat Conference held on March 9, adjourned to May 18. The matter was confirmed that the speaker of the Dewan Rakyat Tan Sri Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof after his behalf received a notification from the Prime Minister’s office.

“There was no conference of Dewan Rakyat on March 9. The new date of the Parliament’s opening ceremony is 18 May 2020.”

According to the previous parliamentary schedule and announcement, the concurrent opening of the Dewan Rakyat and the Senate of the first meeting of the third term of the 14th Parliament by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong is scheduled for Monday next week, March 9.

The Dewan Rakyat will begin to sit from 10 March to 16 April which is for 23 days except for every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Meanwhile, the Council will begin from 20 April to 6 May for 11 days.
