‘Professor X’ Donates £275,000 To Provide Protective Equipment For The Frontliners

X-Men actor James McAvoy reported having donated £ 275,000 (about RM1.48 million) to the National Health Service (NHS) in an effort to help curb the coronavirus pandemic.

The well-known actor contributed to a crowdfunding campaign organized by a group of doctors to use to buy personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical personnel.

It is believed that the campaign has already raised £ 440,000 past its initial target of £ 200,000 which has now been raised to £ 500,000.

The Split actor also helped launch the campaign in several Instagram videos.

“Money donated today will save lives…Help us to help the government to help the NHS,” said McAvoy.

He added, “the situation is truly urgent and time is of the essence.”

James McAvoy is a popular actor that acted in several tops movie like X-Men: Apocalypse, Split, It: Chapter Two and The Chronicle of Narnia.
