After Prime Minister Announcement, This Frontliner Crying Remembering Many Thing Happens Along COVID-19 Outbreak

A few days ago, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, has announced the change from Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) to Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) which will start from June 10 to August 31.

The change apparently provided a relief to one of the frontliners who fought during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ahmad Zakimi Abdullah has posted on Facebook about his experiences and the impact he had on treating patients during those time.

“One of the scariest things that happened to me was when I was doing intubation to a suspected COVID-19 SARI (severe acute respiratory infection) patient. The most experience that I will never forget as a frontliner.

“Tired, depressed, scared, worried, all mixed up. The tears were inevitable after hearing the news of our case, including the COVID-19 positive decision-making intubation procedure,” said Ahmad Zakimi.

“Oh, no! The patient we intubated 3 days ago in the SARI zone was positive. The patient p*ssaway in ICU. Just got this info,”

“Why are we sad? For fear of quarantine. What was on our mind at the time was that if we were unable to serve as frontliners against COVID-19 during the quarantine period,” he said.

“It is worrying that many staff will be quarantined as a result of exposure to our patients, our Emergency Department will be paralyzed. Whenever we get positive COVID-19 patients we count on the staff involved. Worried our department is ‘down.’ We’re crying,”

“It is still in my mind about the struggle of my other comrades. I even cried at that time. Unable to help other hospital partners,”

“Alhamdulillah, today we hear the special announcement by our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO), start effectively on June 10 to August 31. It feels like our country has just become independent. Feel free,” he added.

Ahmad Zakimi also remind everyone to keep following the new norm that have been recommended that is:

1) Avoid 3C (Crowded place, Confined space & Close conversation)
2) Practice 3W (Wash, Wear & Warn)
3) Continue to obey S.O.P
4) Download the MySejahtera app to assist Government efforts in preventing the COVID-19 infection in Malaysia
