The government allowed visitors to try on clothing and footwear at the business premises.

According to Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, the government had sought the Ministry of Health (KKM) advice on this matter.

“Today, the meeting has discussed after hearing the request by the Ministry of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) and had received KKM advice, no positive COVID-19 cases in the shopping mall to date. Today’s meeting agreed to allow people to try on clothing including shoes at the business premise that sells clothes,” said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.

“So now, we can try out new clothes we bought at the fitting room and so on,” he said when responding to a reporter’s question earlier today,” he said.

However, he encouraged people to wear their own socks when trying on shoes at the business premises.

“Just for shoes, we encourage you to use socks, but not socks that were shared at the shoe stores,” he added.
