Fading Whites, Try These To Make Your Shirt Bright Again

How to bring back the faded color of the shirt to make it look as fresh and bright as new?  A colored outfit will certainly look more beautiful when the color looks bright, but after the color fades, the clothes will look dull and unsightly.

T-shirt material is one of the easiest colors to fade, especially if you don’t pay attention to the maintenance process.

How To Overcome Fade Clothes?

The causes of faded clothes can be by the wrong washing method. Shabby clothes can be caused by powder detergent residues, mixing clothes with other colors, and drying clothes under the sun.

Try to overcome the faded clothes below.

1. Use Fabric Dye

 

Nowadays there are so many people who receive fabric dye services. But you can do it yourself. Here’s how to deal with faded clothes using fabric dye :

  • Boil 3 liters of water in a large saucepan for 1 packet of fabric dye. This solution is only used for one shirt.
  • Then put the clothes in the pan and stir for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, but keep stirring the clothes until the water is cold.
  • Rinse the clothes until there is no more fabric dye left.
  • Dry in the shade, avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

2. Using Baking Soda

If the white shirt looks dull, you can try how to overcome the faded shirt with baking soda as below:

  • Put about 1/2 cup (90 grams) of baking soda and liquid detergent in the washing machine with clothes.
  • If using a front loader washing machine, put baking soda in a detergent container.
  • Choose washing mode using cold water, avoid washing with warm water.

3. Using strong coffee or tea

Black clothes look the most worn. To overcome this, you can try how to overcome faded clothes with coffee or strong tea. Here are the steps:

  • Brew 2 cups of coffee or strong tea. Don’t use sugar!
  • Add coffee or strong tea during rinse mode
  • Dry clothes to dry. Because black clothes are very easy to absorb sunlight, dry in the shade.

4. Use Salt

Salt spices can also be used to deal with dull color shirts. Here’s how to deal with faded clothes with salt:

  • Choose clothes of the same color.
  • Add ½ cup of salt to the washing machine or detergent container in the front opening washing machine.
  • Dry in the shade.

5. Using Black Pepper

Even a black pepper spice can overcome shabby clothes to be brilliant. Here’s how to deal with faded clothes using black pepper:

  • Classify clothes according to their color.
  • Put the dull clothes into the washing machine.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of ground black pepper to the washing machine.
  • The function of black pepper is to remove the detergent residue which often causes the color of the shirt to fade, shabby or dull.
