It is reported that Japan is considering to re-open its borders to foreign travelers, but, it will be from selected countries that have low levels of COVID-19 infections.
According to Reuters, Japan’s government is planning to allow travelers from 4 countries that is Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand for the upcoming months.
Travelers from those 4 countries may enter Japan if tested negative COVID-19 in two separate tests that were done that are upon departure from their home country and when arrive in Japan.
When travelers can enter the country, their movements would be restricted to areas including place of stay, company offices, and factories. Not just that, the use of public transport was also banned.
Before this, Japan has already banned the entry of foreign travelers since February to reduce the spread of the virus. For now, it has been reported that more than 16,000 and almost 900 deaths COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Japan.
