“The special meeting convened today decided to approve the pool recreation activities which will commence on July 1, 2020. This pool recreational activity is allowed in public swimming pools, hotels, condos, controlled or fenced areas as well as private pools,” said Datuk Seri Ismali Sabri.
“However, the prerequisites in each pool must be provided with a monitor or supervisor to ensure safety, a number of users, and control times,” he said.
“There must be a guard, not only to control the safety of the swimming pool users but also to ensure that the number of people that allowed based on the size of the pool itself,” he added.
According to him, children are still not encouraged to play in the pool.
He also said that these water recreation activities are also allowed on the seas, beaches, rivers, and anything else related to water.
However, the water theme park, for now, was not yet allowed to operate.
