Second Wave Fears Rise As China Reports More New Infections

China recently reported new highest cases just in months while Beijing still in lockdown. China also warned the world where there is a second wave coming as the pandemic rages in South America.

China has been rattled with the shock resurgence in domestic infections where the disease emerged last year but had been tamed through server restrictions on movement that later has been emulated around the globe.

It also provides a bleak insight into the difficulties the world will face in conquering COVID-19 — even as countries in Europe prepare to reopen borders at the beginning of the summer holiday season after an encouraging drop in contagion.

From 57 cases logged by China, 36 were domestic infections in the capital cause a large wholesale food market has been closed at the center of the outbreak, and nearby housing estates have been put under lockdown.

“People are scared,” said a trader of fruits and vegetables at the central market to the AFP.

Businesses in the market had been closed because fewer people come to the market which really affects the economy.

Around 429,000 people have died from the disease which nearly halfway through the year, and the number is still adding.

Confirmed cases have double to 7.7 million in just a month which now is spreading to Latin America like a wildfire also healthcare system and politics is being threatening.

The second-highest number of death which is Brazil after the United States, surpassing Britain’s toll. Chilean healthcare Minister resigned on Saturday amid a furore over the country’s true number of fatalities.

There is still no sign of treatment for Covid-19 yet pharmaceutical group AstraZeneca said it has agreed to supply an alliance of Europe with up 400 million doses of a possible vaccine.

The only thing we know now is a vaccine could be developed by the end of the year from the German Government.
