Spas, reflexology, and beauty centers are among the economic sub-sectors that allowed to be open again starting July 1st.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the approval was also given for the Meeting Incentive Convention Exhibition (MICE) and Travel and Trade Fair (TTF).
“For MICE and TTF, only 250 visitors are allowed at a time, and all visitors must download the MySejahtera application for sign-in,” said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.
“The organizers also need to ensure that standard operating procedures (SOP) such as visitor registration, body temperature, in and out control and social distancing that must be followed,” he added on today’s press conference.
In the meantime, spas, reflexology, and beauty centers that was allowed to operate also must follow the SOP such as registration, body temperature scans, wearing face masks and using hand sanitizer.
Employers must also seek permission to starts operate from the Local Authority (PBT), other than doing COVID-19 screening first.
At the same time, visitors also need to download the MySejahtera application for monitoring purposes.
“Even the massagers from the society of the blind were also allowed, but most importantly, it must be registered with the PBT,” he said.
However, the operation only applies to local workers and not for foreigners.
