Still-beating cobra hearts, decayed fish heads, all these and much more are genuine delicacies in some parts of the world, but absolutely horrific to others. Most of the foods are something that is hard to get, shocking, foul-tasting, smelly, and even illegal.

Nowadays these foods have rarely been served to the public, but you can still find these types of food far away from the city and out of society. Here, is the 5 ‘rare menu’ that makes you want to puke.

Bull Penis

Bull Penis is one of the menus that featured in China and beliefs say that it is purported to have aphrodisiacal powers.

Bat Soup

Fruit bat soup was so popular in Gam till the bats were nearly eaten into extinction. The meat is sweet and tastes almost like chicken. When the bats are cooked, they produce a strong urine-like smell.

Haggis

An ordinary pudding that came from Scotland, made of minced sheep’s liver, lungs and heart, combined with onions, oatmeal, and fat. The pudding usually is cooked in a casing but traditionally, a sheep’s stomach.

Cuy

Peru, people have been raising and eating guinea pigs (cuy) for about 5,000 years. They are usually served fried or roasted whole.

KiviakKiviak is a traditional Inuit food from Greenland. Basically 500 small birds called auks are stitched up inside a sealskin before stored under a rock for three months. Once the auks are done fermenting, they are eaten for special occasions.
