KKM Reminds Community To Work Together, Protect These Four High-Risk Groups From Getting COVID-19

This week, we saw Malaysia experience an increase in COVID-19 cases which worries the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) and the government because they do not want our country facing the second wave of COVID-19 epidemic.

KKM also does not rule out the possibility that MCO locally will be implemented in areas that are experiencing an increase in cases if the number of new positive cases continues to increase.

Today, the KKM requested that the community protect four high-risk groups from getting COVID-19. The four groups are the elderly, pregnant women, chronic patients such as diabetes, asthma, hypertension, and heart as well as low immunity patients such as HIV and cancer patients.

The safest ways to protect these groups and ourselves are to avoid crowded places, maintain a social distance of at least 1 meter, maintain personal hygiene at all times, eat a balanced diet and stay active.

It is very important for us to jointly break the chain of these epidemics if we do not want to return to the Phase 1 Movement Control Order which will adversely affect the national economy.
