PROTON Launch Saga Anniversary Edition

For those who don’t know, today (July 9) is the day where PROTON, a Malaysian automotive company, and automobile corporation celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Proton Saga.

It is the first Malaysian car that was launch back in the year of 1985. And today, not just celebrating the car’s anniversary, PROTON also launching the new Saga Anniversary Edition.

As stated on the PROTON Facebook page, the anniversary edition comes in black and yellow exclusively on the exterior and the interior of the car. It is limited to 1,100 units only.

The 35th Anniversary Proton Saga is based on Saga 1.3L Premium AT model. For the price, it will be at RM39,300 after zero sales tax rebates. It is the same price as the current Saga Premium AT.

During the launch, PROTON also revealed its 35th Anniversary Accessories package. It includes six accessories that are Front Skirting, Side Skirtings, Door Visors, Hood Insulator, Trunk Lid Cover, and Boot Tray priced at RM2,035.

The accessories will also be available to purchase separately and it is believed to be compatible with the 2019 Saga model. The anniversary accessories package is sold separately for the price of RM2,350.

“The Saga Anniversary Edition is a special gift for a special occasion to all Malaysians. It is our way of saying thank you for supporting the Saga for the past 35 years. Plus, you can order it today by visiting our showrooms or booking it online,” said PROTON CEO Dr. Li Chunrong.
