PTPTN Targets RM1.5 Billion In SSPN 2020 Deposits

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 – Thanks to the success of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) accumulating RM1.3 billion in deposits last year, it is confident it will be able to gain 400,000 new National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) account holders and RM1.5 billion in deposits this year.

“We will try maintaining the success despite the challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic and economy.

“I’m confident we can increase the deposits based on the growth of RM184.02 million recorded this year from January to May,” said PTPTN chairman, Wan Saiful Wan Jan, after launching the ‘Cabutan WOW! SSPN-i Plus 2020’ today.

During this period, SSPN accumulated RM564.20 million in deposits compared to RM380.18 million in the same period last year, he added.

Wan Saiful also said that there is a cashless method for topping up and opening an SSPN-i Plus account via www.lovesspn.com and state PTPTN branches.

The launch of ‘Cabutan WOW! SSPN-i Plus 2020’ was also attended by PTPTN chief executive, Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid.

Some 1,123 depositors stand to win RM1 million in prizes including a top prize of a Mercedes-Benz C200 FL AMG Line in the annual draw (Jan 1-Dec 31, 2020) and prize money via the monthly draw (July 1-Dec 31, 2020).
