Dr. Noor Hisham Among The Receivers Of PSM Award On YDPA Official Birthday, Carry The Title Of ‘Tan Sri’

KUALA LUMPUR, August 17 – Chief Justice Tan Sri Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Pro-Chancellor Tan Sri Dr. Arshad Ayub topped the list of 829 recipients of Federal Degrees, Stars and Medals 2020, today.

Tengku Maimun and Dr. Arshad are the main figures awarded the Seri Setia Mahkota (SSM) degree which carries the title ‘Tun’.

The title was awarded in conjunction with the Official Birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

They are among the 31 individuals who will receive their respective degrees in the Facing Ceremony and the Ceremony of Awarding Federal Degrees, Stars, and Medals (first day) which took place at Istana Melawati, Putrajaya.

Four other key figures received the rank of Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN) with the title ‘Tan Sri’.

The figures are Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali, Attorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun, Chief of Army Staff General Tan Sri Affendi Buang, and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.

A further 12 received the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which also carries the title ‘Tan Sri’, while 29 people received the Darjah Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) and five recipients of the Darjah Panglima Setia Diraja (PSD), each carrying the title of Datuk.\PSM recipients are Director-General of Health Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, Court of Appeal President Datuk Rohana Yusuf, Director General of Public Service Datuk Mohd Khairul Adib Abd Rahman, Army Chief General Datuk Zamrose Mohd Zain, Air Force Commander General Datuk Seri Ackbal Abdul Samad, former Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Mazlan Mansor and Malaysian Olympic Council (OCM) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.

Also receiving PSM were Petroleum Nasional Berhad (Petronas) Chairman Datuk Ahmad Nizam Salleh, The Lotus Corporation Berhad Chief Executive Officer Datuk R. Doraisingam, Sunway Group Berhad President Datuk Chew Chee Kin, Platinum Victory Holdings Sdn Bhd Managing Director Datuk Seri Gan Yu Chai, Founder and Managing Director of SENA Group of Companies who is also the Founder and Director of Optimax Holding Berhad Datuk Tan Boon Hock.

PJN recipients include Auditor-General Datuk Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Datuk Seri Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob, Director-General of Education Dr. Habibah Abdul Rahim, Sabah State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong and Court of Appeal Judge Ravinthran N. Paramaguru.

Also awarded by PJN is Director General of National Security Mohd Rabin Basir, Secretary-General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, Kelantan State Secretary Datuk Nazran Muhammad and Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samson and former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education Datuk Dr. Mohd Gazali Abas.

Other PJN recipients are West Fleet Commander Admiral Datuk Aris Adi Tan Abdullah, Joint Forces Commander Lieutenant General Datuk Suhaimi Mohd Zuki, Army Field Commander Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Nazir Mami and National Defense Studies Center (PUSPAHANAS) President Admiral Datuk N. Ganesh.

In addition, Director General of Health Services Lieutenant General Datuk Dr. Md Amin Muslan, Deputy Chief of Army Lieutenant General Datuk Hasagaya Abdullah and Deputy Air Force Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan also received PJN.

Also awarded by PJN are Bukit Aman Special Branch director Datuk Mohamed Farid Abu Hassan, Bukit Aman Management Director Datuk Abd Rahim Jaafar, Criminal Investigation Department Director Datuk Huzir Mohamed and Integrity and Standards Compliance Department Director Datuk Zamri Yahya.

Among the other PJN recipients is CRSC Holdings Berhad Vice-Chairman Datuk Mohamed Salleh Bajuri, Tekun Nasional Amanah Board Member Wan Mohd Shaharir Wan Abd Jalil, SIRIM Berhad President and Chief Executive Officer Prof Dr. Ahmad Fadzil Mohamad Hani and Low Yat Group Low Director Gee Teong.

The recipients of the PSD are the Deputy Secretary-General (Management) of the Prime Minister’s Department Mohammad Ismail, the Director-General of the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department Roziah Abudin, the Head of the Endocrine Unit of Putrajaya Hospital Dr. Zanariah Hussein, the Head of the Emergency and Trauma Department of Kuala Lumpur Hospital Dr. Mahathar Abd Wahab and ATM Labor Force Director General Brigadier General S. Suriakala.

Apart from that, a total of 27 individuals were awarded Johan Mangku Negara (JMN) including the Director-General of the Social Welfare Department Zulkifli Ismail, the Director-General of the Department of Chemistry Malaysia Mohamed Zaini Abdul Rahman and the Director-General of the Malaysian Space Agency Azlikamil Napiah.

Meanwhile, among the ‘strongmen’ of the front line of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), namely the Director of Disease Control Division Dr. Norhayati Rusli was awarded Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM) along with 37 other individuals.

Among the 147 recipients of Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) recipients is Director of TV Television Malaysia (RTM) TV Program Division, Lokman Muda while News presenter and broadcaster Media Prima Pang Chinn Fei and TV personality Terrence Joseph Dass are each listed in 182 recipients Members Mangku Negara (AMN).

This year also saw a total of 11 individuals awarded the Bintang Kesatria Setia Diraja (KSD), 328 Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN) and 44 Pingat Bentara Setia Diraja (BSD).
