Recently, the Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah was awarded the title of Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah.
Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham was among the 12 individuals who were awarded with the title of ‘Tan Sri’.
The title was given to him in conjunction with the Official Birthday of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong 2020 at Istana Melawati, Putrajaya.
Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah later uploaded a post on social media expressing that the title is a symbol of respect for the staff of the Ministry of Health (MOH).
“Alhamdulillah, this title and degree is an honor to all front and back staff of the MOH. It is also a symbol of the Government’s trust and appreciation for civil servants,” he said.
“Hopefully, all the awards given to the staff in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic will burn the spirit of all of us to continue to carry out our duties for the health of the people and national security,” he added.
