LATEST: 9 New COVID-19 Cases Including 5 Local Cases Reported Today

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) today informed that there are a total of 13 cases that have been cured and making the cumulative number of cured cases is 8, 945 equivalent to 96.71%.

According to a statement on Facebook, a total of 9 positive cases were recorded today including 4 import cases and 5 local cases. This brings the total number of cumulative cases to 9, 249.

No deaths were recorded. This makes the number of permanent death cases of 125 equivalent to 1.35%.

Please be informed that out of the nine (9) new cases reported, four (4) cases are imported cases that have been  infected abroad  involving all  non-citizens . The four (4) import cases are from countries:

  1. Philippines (1 case in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur);
  2. Austria (1 case in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur);
  3. Indonesia (1 case in Selangor); and
  4. India (1 case in Selangor).

Of the five (5) transmission cases  in the country,  four (4) are Malaysian citizens and one (1) non-citizen is the screening case before returning to the country of origin. He has no symptoms and has been admitted to Sarawak General Hospital.

Details of COVID-19 transmission cases in the country among  Malaysian citizens  (4 cases) are:

Kedah: three (3) cases from Cluster Tawar; and

Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur: one (1) case from the Advanced Cluster (i.e. new cluster)
