Flowers can go beyond being a decoration. Scented dried flowers can be used in sachets to give refreshments in a closet or bags. Certain flowers even have their health benefits.

Lavender is one of the famous flowers that is used in various remedies. Lavender is from the mint family and is widely grown to get their essential oils. Many people love to have lavender essential oil in their homes and rooms.

It seems that many people are having problems with sleep and mental stress because of coronavirus. The feeling of uncertainty develops people to worry too much about their life. Thus, they are looking for some treatment by using lavender essential oil.

According to Castle Farm, the U.K.’s largest lavender grower said that their sales for lavender essential oil surges during the pandemic. People are seeking for relief from sleep deprivation and stress.

The sales of the sleep oil have quadrupled, said Lorna Roberts, a family farmer at Castle Farm.

Even though there are no proven scientific studies for the lavender to treat anxiety and insomnia, people are still looking for lavender as a natural remedy. Lavender has a nice smell which can give a comforting feeling to people who smell.

Said Roberts, they are also making hand-sanitizer out of the lavender crop. They make hand sanitizer which can work really well and has fragrance at the same time for the customers.
