Vladimir Putin Says That COVID-19 Vaccine Has Been Approved To Used

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has announced that the world first COVID-19 vaccine was ready to be used. Thus, Russia become the first country to officially register a COVID-19 vaccine.

Putin also said that one of his daughters has already been injected with the vaccine. He stated at a government meeting yesterday that the vaccine has undergone proper testing and is safe.

“I would like to repeat that it has passed all the necessary tests,” said Putin.

“The most important thing is to ensure full safety of using the vaccine and its efficiency,” he added.

About his daughters, he said that one of his two daughters has received two shots of the vaccine. According to the Hindustan Times, his daughter had a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius on the day of the first vaccine injection, and then it dropped to just over 37 degrees on the following day. After the second shot she again had a slight increase in temperature, but then it was all over.

“She’s feeling well and has high number of antibodies,” he said.

Its is stated by Russian authorities that medical workers, teachers and other risk groups will be the first to used the vaccine. The vaccine expected to provide immunity from COVID-19 up to two years.

Although Putin stated that the vaccine of the deadly virus has been made, the World Health Organization (WHO) said all vaccine candidates should go through full stages of testing before it can be used.

Experts even have warned that vaccines that are not tested properly can bring harm in many ways.
